Washing the solar panels

Think of all the things you could be doing right now other than looking at pictures of a guy washing his solar panels!

you know, it never occured to me that they would have to be washed! I am looking at them for our house and now I am thinking..do I need something else to clean? How often do you have to wash them?

I would think that if you get rain on a regular basis, you wouldn't have to wash them.

Would the power washer on a fairly low setting be an option?

I think 3-4 times a year maybe, Marye.
Silvia, don't forget, we never get rain! but that does boost our solar output...
Jim, that's a good idea, I didn't think of that. Mike and I were talking about having a Roomba that lives up there cleaning the solar panels. It would be a solar powered Roomba, that in turn has its solar cell cleaned by a mini-Roomba, and so on, and so on. A stack of Roombas!

Well, yeah, I knew you don't get rain, but I don't know where Marye lives, so I was hoping to give her some hope that she won't have to wash them. :)
