There are only 37 days until May 1. May 1, which means our 1200 sq. ft. addition will have officially taken over one year. Over one year. I can't think about that too much or I might hyperventilate. Anyone want to wager on whether it'll be done before then? Here's what's left:
Anyone want to guess a completion date? Closest guess (without going over) wins a random piece of schwag from Walt Disney Animation Studios! Put your guess and a way to contact you in the comments. (Nod to the Erwins for the idea.)
My parents are visiting on May 5th, and for months I've been convincing myself that we'd have a guest bedroom for them. Sadly, I'm starting to doubt it.

That sounds soooo familiar! Due with Ellie on June 10th, I was sure that my mother (who planned to arrive on that day) would have a guest room to stay in. Or, at the least, my biodad (who arrived in early July) would have a guest room for use. Alas, we didn't have a guest bedroom available until the first week of October ;-)
I'm putting in my guess for... July 3rd. It kind of depends--what's "done?" We moved in before a lot of things were complete, but the house was livable, kwim? And they are still coming by regularly to do repairs... *g*
Okay, so "done" means that we've moved in. There may still be minor things to finish, but our furniture is in and we're using the space. Christiane, if that changes your guess, feel free to pick a new date. (And let me tell you, your date strikes fear into my heart!)

Ok. I hate hate hated it when people told me it was going to be August and I wanted it to be June. So I'm not going to say a date, but...
We were right where you are on June 1st, just about to paint and hang doors, and we moved in on August 6th. I can blame a flakey electrician for about 3-4 of those weeks. (Our guest room wasn't available until October because we filled it to the top with the contents of our old garage.)
My key to sanity (or my outlet for my insanity) was micro-managing the hell out of everyone with a big 200 line speadsheet. Every day I marked off what had been done. Some days you mark off 3 things, some days it's 50, some days you add 10. Just take it one day at a time.
Boy, someone at the Erwin house is almost guaranteed to win if we don't get some more votes!
